OFFICE OF THE SHERIFF

Youth Programs- Sheriff's Youth Academy

The 2011 Summer Youth Academy will held between June 6-24 and July 5-22.  Both camps are conducted for approximately four weeks with students ranging from ages 8-12.  This is a camp that allows children to experience new adventures.  Our goal is to introduce the youth of our community to law enforcement while involving members of the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office.  Through hands-on activities, mentoring, presentations, and behind the scenes field trips, students will discover the world of law enforcement from a positive perspective.  The participants were challenged to identify problems and/or opportunities and allotted the opportunity for the appropriate solution.
