The Civil Section bears the responsibility for serving all
civil papers from any court that requires service within Clayton
County. These papers include but are not limited to
lawsuits, probate orders, subpoenas and divorce papers.
The Civil Section ended the year of 2008 with approximately
50,000 such papers served.
The Civil
Section is also responsible for the lawful execution of
every eviction proceeding within the county. It is not
uncommon for our Deputies to handle 20 or more evictions
daily. |
